The Dingo Dog of the Week program was developed to fill a growing need to better connect with the client’s audience. Out of all of my clients, Dingo Rawhide had the most dedicated and interactive fans – they would often share great pictures of their dogs and interact wonderfully with the Dingo Rewards Program. Merging the two ideas and adding a new layer of communication, we designed, developed, and successfully launched the Dingo Dog of the Week contest.
In the contest, users would submit a picture of their dog via Flickr. Every week, the best picture would be picked and featured on our website and Flickr page – in addition, the user would receive some Dingo Rewards points to use on their next purchase. In the first few contests, we received over a hundred unique submissions, leading the way to further contest development.
