From October, 2014 to February, 2015, I wrote, planned, produced, and edited a series of horror short films in partnership with DAFT – a UC Student Theater organization typically associated with stage plays. Not only did this encourage collaboration between a huge variety of students from engineers to marketing majors, but allowed for many students to try new and exciting career paths, resulting in three successful transfers from other majors to Electronic Media at CCM, a highly competitive and prestigious film and broadcast school.

As of February 2015, all three shorts are in post-production for eventual release. A brief synopsis of each can be found below.

Plot Synopsis

The Case of Warren Hall

Based loosely off of H.P. Lovecraft’s The Statement of Randolph Carter, The Case of Warren Hall starts at a different angle, exploring the discovery and delve into a mysterious book, a disappearance, and an unsolved suicide.

No Stone Left Unturned

An original short, No Stone Left Unturned follows the story of two overly-ambitious college students during their first days of internship at a police station – what they find leads them down a path which they never may return.

Recovery

In a universe not-so-different from our own, Recovery follows the experiences of a ragtag group of survivors as they struggle to make it through the initial stages of a zombie apocalypse. Unlike most ‘survivors’, though, this group is prepared. Using stockpiled arms at SWAT-like precision, they must work together to get through their toughest mission yet… Or fall apart, and let the remnants of humanity collapse.
